Welcome to the patient center, the public information Center for the American Academy of MUA physicians.  The American Academy of MUA physician represents a variety of medical specialties that combined their interests on the diagnosis, treatment and management of chronic pain due to fibrotic and biomechanical fixations.

September is pain awareness month and October is chiropractic awareness month.  This is an opportunity to increase for public awareness and education about chiropractic and pain.

Physician members of the American Academy of MUA physicians are medical doctors (MD), osteopathic physicians (DO), and chiropractic physicians (DC). In addition, are allied members are nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, and nurses, who are actively involved in treating pain that are headed by physicians.

The mission of the American Academy of MUA physicians is to provide a multidisciplinary approach in pain care within the area of manipulative therapies by restoring proper biomechanics of the spine and extra spinal joints. This is accomplished by providing education and research to improve function and quality of life for the people in chronic pain.

The goal of the patient center as to help you find:

  • Information about manipulation under anesthesia
  • A certified MUA specialist in your area from the American Academy of MUA physicians active membership
