CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Certification in MUA

The manipulation under anesthesia certification requires post-graduate education in chiropractic manipulative techniques within a hospital or outpatient surgical center setting. Doctors of Medicine (MD), Doctors of Osteopathy (DO) and Doctors of Chiropractic (DC) who are licensed are able to take the course. The certification class will be (28) hours in length, divided with (22) hours of lecture and (8) hours of hands workshops at a local ASC, a written exam will conclude the class with a passing grade of 90%.

  • Graduate from an accredited college- Medical, Osteopathic or Chiropractic
  • Must have been in practice for 3 years or more.
  • Register for the Certification class and pay the $2400 course fee
  • Proof of Current BLS-HCP CPR certification.
  • Copy of State License.

All candidates must have completed a healthcare-provider level CPR certification (BLS-HCP) with a hands-on component as part of the program or study in addition to the program. Online CPR courses that do not include a live, practical component are not acceptable. Candidates must provide documentation of successful completion of both courses prior to the class. This is due to understanding basic emergency procedures prior to entering into the hospital and/or outpatient surgical center.
